About
If you find yourself wandering down Greifswalder Str. in Berlin, make sure to seek out a charming cafe that's become a local favorite: Leo's - Greifswalder Str. 2. This intimate spot has carved a niche for itself as one of the best brunch destinations in the district, perfect for late risers and early birds alike.
Patrons rave about the offerings here, particularly the egg drop with salmon. One customer, Hyein Jung, described the sauce as "so tasty" that she considered ordering a second serving. The brunch menu is diverse, featuring dishes that cater to a variety of palates. And don't forget to pair your meal with one of their refreshing iced lattes, which, as noted by Hyein, is perfect for a warm day.
However, be prepared for the cafe's snug seating arrangements. Stanley Tsang highlights that while the space is limited, the cozy ambiance creates an inviting atmosphere whether you're dining solo, catching up with friends, or even enjoying a quiet moment with a book. The warmth of the staff only enhances this feel, making you feel right at home the moment you step in.
The selection of food and beverages is commendable, with options for everyone. Fidan Şenova shared her delight over the maple pancake, while others have praised the quality of the coffee, despite a few finding it a tad weak. The outdoor seating beckons on pleasant days, allowing guests to bask in the sun while enjoying their meals.
While some customers mentioned a wait at peak times, the vibrant atmosphere, coupled with dishes that look as good as they taste, makes every minute worthwhile. As Sarunas Cerniauskas pointed out, Leo’s is undoubtedly the best spot in the area for breakfast and brunch.
With happy customers and enticing dishes to explore, Leo's - Greifswalder Str. 2 promises not just a meal, but a delightful experience. Don't pass up the chance to indulge in what this cafe has to offer; you just might find yourself wanting to come back for more.
“ Lovely place for breakfast, great service and delicious food. The Egg Benedict is so good & well made! Everything on the plate complements each other so well. ”
“ A bit small place but good food and friendly staff. ”
“ I like the breakfast very much, the coffee was also good. They don’t have much space but they made it happen that we could fit with 5 people. We had too wait a bit too long but the food looked amazing. ”
“ By far, the best place in the entire district to have breakfast/brunch, some great coffee and enjoy Leo’s service. The place is simply amazing! ”
“ Had their maple pancake, which was very tasty. The coffee was good but a bit weak for me even though I ordered double, still tasty though. Comfortable seating both indoors and outdoors, nice music playing, I would recommend! ”
“ I found this café offering brunch around 3 PM, which was perfect for a late start to the day. I had the egg drop with salmon — the sauce was so tasty, I honestly felt like ordering another one! All the other brunch menu items looked delicious too, and I’d love to try more next time. On a hot day, the iced latte hit the spot, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming! The only downside was that there was no restroom.. ”
“ A nice gem in the area and worth going to. Firstly, seating space is limited so I am managing your expectations. Once you’re in though, it is great. The cafe gives a very warm and cosy vibe, you can definitely either go with a friend or two, other half or by yourself (enjoy brunch for one with a book or magazine). The menu has a great selection of food to choose from and I will say there is something for everyone and the selection of teas and coffee is great too. Next time if I am back in Berlin I would try the cakes too . Staff are great and friendly and this place is worth trying. ”
“ Me and my boyfriend came for brunch here, we had coffee and both had eggs for breakfast. We had an egg drop avocado sandwich and scramble egg o with sourdough, both were absolutely beautiful and the coffee was made to perfection. The staff were friendly and accommodating, we will definitely be returning as our hotel is fortunately within a short walk to Leo’s adorable little spot. The decor inside is stunning and the menu has such delights on there I can’t wait to return and try more! ”
